Natural formations of stalactite and stalagmites are a characteristic of the underground rivers in Cancun and Playa del Carmen thanks to the floor conditions of the Riviera Maya. You can take part in the stalactite river swim as many times as you want. There is also a short way for those that are not feeling like swimming all the way through.
